Singing

Individual lessons provide students with in-depth, one-on-one tuition in their area of choice and cover breath control, singing/playing technique, repertoire, performance technique and much more. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced singer/musician, lessons will be structured to meet your individual needs.

Individual lessons are available in either 1/2 hour or 1 hour time slots, and are available in singing, music theory or guitar. Students may wish to combine subjects and learn voice and guitar together, or enhance their singing tuition with music theory.

Fees are charged by the term and payment is required in full at the beginning of each new term. Term dates are as per Queensland State School terms (please see below for 2010 term dates). Fees are to be paid on or before the first lesson of the new term. A statement of term fees and dates is provided to students prior to the end of the previous term.

Sing for Fun and Wellbeing

This wonderful fun vocal workshop provides a relaxed, casual atmosphere where you can develop your awareness of the power of the human voice and of course experience the joy of simply singing.

It is an ideal opportunity to get to know your voice, meet others with similar interests and above all else, sing and have fun! The cost of this half day workshop is $65 (costs current as of Jan 2010 and subject to change). Places are limited, with bookings essential.

Specialised Workshops

A qualified Workplace Trainer, Angela also offers workshops on request in a number of areas including:

  • choir and ensemble singing
  • starting your own singing group
  • music for early childhood professionals

2010 Term Dates Tuition Fees
 

 

Term 1 (9 weeks – 4 fortnights)
Monday 1st Feb – Friday 2nd April

Term 2 (10 weeks – 5 fortnights)
Monday 12th April – Thur 18th June

Term 3 (8 weeks – 4 fortnights)
Monday 12th July – Fri 3rd August

Term 4 (9 weeks – 5 fortnights)
Monday 4th Oct – Sat 4th Dec

The following fees are as at the beginning of Term 1, 2010.

1/2 hour individual tuition:

  • 10 week term $200
  • 11 week term $220
  • 5 week term (fortnightly tuition) $100
  • 6 week term (fortnightly tuition) $120
  • Stand alone tuition $25 per 1/2 hour

1 hour individual tuition:

  • 10 week term $400
  • 11 week term $440
  • 5 week term (fortnightly tuition) $200
  • 6 week term (fortnightly tuition) $240
  • Stand alone tuition $50 per hour
