2008/09 Student Concerts and Performances

Several Soul Singing students performed solo and ensemble pieces at The Springfield College Twilight Markets in September and recieved a big thankyou from the College for their great performances and support of the school. Christmas was a busy time for Soul Singing students as a number of them became involved in a series of concerts and performances around the community over the Christmas period. This proved to be popular with students and audience alike and a new performance group is being created for students who wish to participate in regular performances throughout the year. We are hoping to hold at least one concert per term with opportunities for further performances sure to arise.

Soul Singing students are always keen to get some performance experience so if you have an event, or belong to an organisation who you believe would like to have some of these talented youngsters (and not so youngsters) perform for them, please get in touch with Angela at Soul Singing.

Camira Community Choir - all new Feb. 2009!

The Camira Community Choir is a community singing group where people of all ages can meet and share in the joy of singing.  There is no experience necessary and you don’t have to be able to read music. Music will consist of old favourites, simple songs and songs to uplift the heart and soul.

Where:         Springfield / Camira Community Centre
When:          Tuesdays during school terms (see tuition pages for term dates)
Address:       Old Logan Road, Camira
Time:           10am to 12pm
Cost:            Gold coin donation

The first meeting will take place at 10am on Tuesday 3rd of February.

Monthly Music Mediations (satsangs/kirtans)

Rob Stevenson, a successful musician, composer and spiritual healer holds regular satsang circles (mantra and chant singing) in and around Brisbane. Rob's satsang events are very popular and he often holds one-off events so please check out Robs website or contact Rob himself for details of the various times and venues.
